Little Sophie

I finally finished all of the photos from my latest newborn photo shoot.

Enjoy some of my favorites!

The Spirit of Christmas

I was honored once again to take pictures of a good friend and previous client. I was so shocked to see how much baby Heidi has grown from her newborn photo shoot. I just fell in love with that bald head and cute chubby cheeks. The boys who were as cute as ever weren't really happy to be out in the cold and woken up early from naps but they were good troopers anyways--especially with huge candy canes as their reward. As always I am super impressed by my friend and the wonderful example of courage, faith and patience that she exhibits. I truly felt the spirit of Christmas as I took pictures of this young family. I am grateful to know that during hard times we can feel the love and comfort of our Savior who knows our pains and sorrows. May His spirit be with us all year long as we move into 2010!!

*It is not usually my style to do crazy edits to photos. I usually like my photos to look natural and not overly edited. However, I did have fun with some of the photos. Of course I still edited them naturally as well!

Oh Boy

This cute little boy was quite the challenge for me. He did not like to be naked and he let me know by his bodily outbursts. I tried all of my tricks and eventually had to focus on a different direction. Not only did he not want to be naked but he was not content to sleep without crying. Luckily mom was able to calm him down with the good old fashioned finger as a pacifier trick. Big brother was not interested in being next to his new brother and so that was even trickier to capture the both of them together. Oh well...sometimes that is just the way it is. That being said, I still think we got some fabulous shots of little August. Dad was able to be there for some cool hand and feet shots and mom even let me take some pictures of her at the end. Every mom needs at least one picture of her and the new baby.
